Our Story
About Us
IT Services & Consulting Since 2003
Although Florida Tech Group is a new name, our principals have been in business in Central Florida since 2003, with experience supporting the tech needs of businesses and organizations here.
Our major goals are twofold:
- FTG is a complete IT department for businesses that understand the value of having their own tech staff, but do not have the budget or need for full-time, in-house IT staff. We want to be Your IT department – your trusted partner for all of your technology needs. Please reach out to us BEFORE – not after – you start your next project, or have a major catastrophe. Check out our Services page for more detailed information.
- We also assist enterprise clients who need local hands-on support for their offices in Central Florida, that may not have a resident staff, and don’t want to spend a small fortune on someone traveling from out of town.
- Our second focus is on Business Continuity. As we all become more and more dependent upon technology, it becomes absolutely essential that our technology keeps working, regardless of fires, floods, thefts, power problems and natural disasters. Business Continuity is a serious subject that is often overlooked until it is too late. We help you evaluate your needs and exposure and create a plan that incorporates data backup in-depth, Disaster Planning and Recovery, and all the other aspects involved in keeping your business up and running, no matter what unforeseen events may occur.
Wade has been in the technology industry for over 25 years. After earning his Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Robotics, he worked for a few years at the 7th ranked commercial communications company in the United States before moving to Belgium, where he worked as an engineer in a television and radio production studio. As part of his time there, he spent about a month in Africa, working as the engineer for several television show remote recordings.
Afterwards, he returned to the States, and began working at a local television station. While working there, he recognized that the future was in computers, and “the rest is history,” as they say. He dove in head-first into the IT industry in 1998, and started his first outsource IT company in 2003, and has never looked back. He loves helping fellow small business owners and C-level people be more successful, and reduce their stress through the effective use of technology.
